- David Nalbandian and Juan Martin del Potro are playing doubles together, a move being seen as an attempt to patch up differences following last year's fractious loss in the Davis Cup final.
Luis Lobo, Davis Nalbandian's new coach, is friendly with del Potro's coach, Franco Davin and said last week, 'Both Franco and I have the objective to bring together a relationship [between Nalbandian and del Potro] that is not as bad as people say.'
According to La Nacion, the two players and their coaches happened to be on the same flight while travelling to Indian Wells and made the decision to play together during the trip.
